How do you organise an enjoyable poker night?
Organising a poker game is a weekly activity in our circle. The group of players who come together consists of players of all levels – professionals, avid hobbyists, and sometimes complete newcomers. However, some simple tips for making a poker night pleasant apply to all players.
Proper tools = authentic feeling
The location doesn’t actually matter. Poker can be played at home, on a summer terrace, in a bar or pub and, naturally, in a casino. Poker360 also offers various solutions for organising a poker night, but one thing is certain – a proper poker table, chips, and playing cards are needed for an authentic game. You can obviously use matches to count the points and view your cards on the couch, but the feeling won’t be quite the same. If you don’t have a poker table at home, one can always be rented from us for an affordable price.
Avoid delays and hungry (or thirsty) people
A poker night organiser must always think a bit beforehand. Our poker company can sometime battle until early morning hours, but every group has their own limits. If the next day is a working day, keep up the pace of the blinds so that the game will end at a more appropriate time. NB: If you are organising a tournament, don’t forget to think about those who may drop out of the game unexpectedly early!
You will naturally have to provide enough food and drink so that no one is forced to go home because their stomach is rumbling.
To add the final touch – find a dealer
A poker game with a dealer is simply such a significant step in the direction of convenience for all players that it become immediately clear to everyone who has tried this solution. Our first poker game on a summer terrace with a dealer was so much more pleasant than a standard game as all of the players could relax without having to deal cards, count banks, or take care of any other duties.
So:
Prepare the poker table, chips, and cards, make snacks, chill the beer, find a dealer, and play!
